Have you ever noticed how rare "heart people" are? Sometimes you just need to reach out and connect with someone's heart, but when you reach out around you, you touch skin... or someone's mind... or even worse... nothing more than someone's stale ideology. But it's a precious moment when you reach out with something that wells up within your own heart, and you actually find someone who has an open heart of their own and who is able to receive it unfiltered and handle it without gloves. You reach out and actually find another heart person. Sigh... So what do you do in the meantime? In the long seasons of walking alone without that golden connection between you and someone else's understanding? I suppose that's when you learn what it means to love (I don't mean necessarily the romantic kind). You reach out ANYWAY. You give your heart to those around you without regard as to whether or not they can understand or even perceive it. You laugh and smile and learn to find the joy that really is there between every breath if only you'd stop and pay attention. I send this to you, Kristin, because I believe you're a heart person. There... I've reached out and touched. :) - Kyle
