Be Brave!

Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I'll be running 26.2 miles, November 09, 2013 in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.

This is a cause very dear to my heart as I am certain many of you who have been touched by cancer in one way or another, be it through a loved one, family member, friend, or personal experience. However, I believe a cure can be found and we can beat this disease!

I am willing to put in the time and hard work necessary to complete this challenge with a smile and determination, but ask that you please consider making a donation, or forward on to your friends and family in support of thse efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures. Every little bit matters. With a grateful heart, we have met the Team in Training commitement goal of $3,300. I am humbled and thankful. From the beginning, in my heart I wanted to raise so much more, because doing something that matters for humankind, matters. I think it would be truly amazing if we could exceed the fundraising goal to hit $7,000, and be a part of the LLS effort to help erradicate blood type cancers for good! Let's BEAT CANCER!

Be Brave with your life so that others can be Brave with theirs!

Thank you in advance for your prayers, encouragement and consideration.

With warm regards,
Kristin

LIVING LIFE

Life is not a race - but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy.
Say “thank you”, “I love you”, and “great job” to someone each day. Really smile and feel joy.
Go to church. Take time for prayer. Walk closely to God and have faith for the best.
Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper.
Love your life and what you’ve been given, it is not accidental -
search for your purpose and do it as best you can. Dreaming does matter.
It allows you to become that which you aspire to be. Laugh often.
Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free.
Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming.
Forgive, it frees the soul. Take time for yourself - plan for longevity.
Recognize the special people you’ve been blessed to know.
Live for today. Enjoy the moment.”

Today is an amazing day! Enjoy and make every single moment count!
