Counting my many blessings today....

I am counting my many blessings and this little girly is on the top of my list.
She just makes me smile so big and be silly for no reason at all!
God really knew how much I needed a soul like hers in my life!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Gretchen for always graciously sharing your daughter with me.
I owe you so much for the gift of Peyton Grace in my life and
the laughter she brings to every life she touches!

She has the heart and wisdom in words of the
Skin horse in the Velveteen Rabbit story.

She would definitely say something like this and mean it.
This quote fits perfectly to wisdom she would bestow...

"It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become.
It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen
often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges,
or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time
you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off,
and your eyes drop out and you get loose in your
joints and very shabby. But these things don't
matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly,
except to people who don't understand."

--Velveteen Rabbit

Oh am I feeling so very Real today!
She loves to sleep right on top of her people and if not right on top, she wishes your face turned towards her and will hold your face gently as she sleeps. Precious to me.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek
out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the
hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run
his or her fingers
through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge
that
you'll never walk alone.

-- Audrey Hepburn
Lastly, she has so taught me that pictures don't always have to be perfect with the perfect expression, but life is funny and fun and one should always allow room in their hearts and eyes for times just like this above.

PG you are precious to Me!!!!!!!!

What a truly beautiful quote! I can identify with the ugly portion. It is a true gift when someone can look past everything and embrace you for who you really are on the inside. You have been blessed to have such a special relationship.

Okay, I need my own Peyton! You are so blessed to have such a gorgeous little angel in your life! The two of you look wonderful together and it looks like she adores you as much as you her. I hope you know how much it means to a little girl to have someone special in their life. It will do wonders to her self-esteem and belief in herself as she becomes a young woman.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful story~

This child is a gift! Thank you for sharing a little bit of her.
I am going to go wake my 17 year old now, quietly by snuggling with her in bed. They never get to old for that.
thank you for your wonderful wonderfulness that you give.
